As the leading journal on the interdisciplinary study of Haiti, the Journal of Haitian Studies takes seriously its role in reviewing the most recent, rigorous, and compelling scholarship and creative works on the country. To this end, the book review editors are looking for potential reviewers who will read carefully, critique thoughtfully, and consider the relevance of the text in the larger context of Haitian Studies and any applicable sub-fields. We are committed to maintaining a high standard for book reviews, reflecting the quality of the journal.
Book Review Guidelines

Reviews are to be 3–5 pages long, double-spaced (between 750 and 1500 words)

Reviews are accepted in English, Kreyòl, or French

We ask that reviewers use Chicago Style (16th ed.) formatting

Review should contain at least 3 direct quotes from the work being examined

Reviews must include full publication information (author, title, publisher with date and place of publication, ISBN number, number of pages, and price).
